ABOUT

My practice branches fluidly between moving images, spatial installations, and publications. This dynamism manifests itself through various strategies, such as the use of motion capture technologies in the virtual lullaby This Video (2023), where shimmering, naked bodies of plump avatars, moved by the action of transplanting my movements into another body, are beaten, shaved and dropped into shimmering liquids in a harried succession of scenes designed to compose a trailer for something that does not exist, as if to fill the large space of the medium’s desperate audiovisual fidelity that never manages to be what it represents. Or even intimate, playful, and invasive spatial intrusions, as in Alchermes (2024), in which a skirting board soaked in an emulsion of uranyl nitrate changes its color to a bright red, stuffing a room with invisible, insidious radiations. Or even in the more recent L’intruso (2025), in which an old animated film is digitally restored perilously: line voids are filled in, the spaces between frames filled in, the background expanded, and the resolution increased tenfold as if in a gesture of desperate scribbling filling in the inherent representational inefficiency of moving images. My work is positioned as a deliberate form of disorder, a gesture that seeks to investigate how material matters made up of superimpositions, permeations, and compenetrations can reconfigure spaces, bodies, and the ever-present background noise that surrounds, stabilizes, and sustains them.
