Soil Memories is a site-specific light installation composed of over 40 handmade paper structures. The paper is produced from invasive plants and urban weeds, pressed and shaped into translucent sheets. These forms are arranged in a clustered, organically expanding formation, reminiscent of a settlement, a fungal network, or memory fragments surfacing from the earth.
Each unit is internally lit with a low-energy LED, making the organic textures and embedded botanical elements visible only at night. It proposes a sensory way of reading the ground—not as a neutral surface, but as a dense archive of neglected life, labor, and transformation.
