A body changes along with life. It mutates in subtle ways; the mind shapes you. A single glance at the skin can reveal so much, whether it’s anger, shame, or other emotions, our inner state often becomes visible on the outside. In my project, the focus lies on the skin of the human face. It becomes a canvas for emotion, a mirror of our feelings.
Inspired by films like Annihilation and Under the Skin, my concept took shape: a visual transformation of the face that changes according to different emotional states. Our emotions reveal more than we realize, they expose who we are and can, at times, transform us into something entirely different.
