What are we made of? This is the central question behind „The Creation of Human“, a 2-minute cinematic 3D short film I created as part of my Blender course under the theme „Uncertain Surfaces“. The animation visualizes the six core elements that make up the human body: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.
These materials, in their raw natural form, appear foreign – yet through their combination, something entirely new is born: the human body. The film unfolds through various scenes and dynamic camera movements, blending organic, scientific, magical, and realistic visuals. Water molecules form, nature whispers life to the body, an iron skeleton builds itself and stabilizes the liquid body, and eventually a human figure comes to life on our world, sleeping peacefully on meadow.
Each material is paired with a unique sound atmosphere, composed to enhance the emotional tone of the elements. The contrast between textures and tones invites viewers to experience the transformation not only visually, but also sonically.
The animation encourages reflection on the fragility and fascinating wonder of our material existence.
